Samsung SMX-C20, SMX-C24 and HMX-M20Today, Samsung announced the SMX-C20, SMX-C24 and HMX-M20 stylish, ergonomically-designed compact digital camcorders.

All three camcorders feature the built-in 25 degree Active Angle Lens that allows users to hold the camcorder in a more relaxed and natural position since the lens is angled downward by 25 degrees. All three also include Hyper Image Stabilization, H.264 compression, which allows you to record longer than camcorders using the typical MPEG2 format, Samsung’s play-edit-sharing program called intelli studio, a one-touch “upload” button that provides a direct connection to YouTube, 230K-pixel, swiveling 2.7-inch wide LCD screen, basic on-camera editing, including the ability to merge and split video files, and unique features, including time lapse recording, animated thumbnails and a versatile charging system.

The SMX-C20 and SMX-C24 offer standard definition video recording at a resolution of 720×480 and offer the ability to capture still images at a resolution of two mega pixel, 10x optical zoom. The SMX camcorders also feature the ToC design, which has a hint of color that is naturally blended into the deep black body of the camcorders to create an attractive crystalline appearance.

The HMX-M20 features full-HD, 1080/60p video recording, Samsung’s Back Side Illumination (BSI) CMOS imaging sensor, an 8x optical zoom / 12x intelli zoom, and 12 mega-pixel resolution to capture still images.

The SMX-C24 includes 16GB of built-in flash memory and users can also expand the camcorder’s memory capacity using the SD/SDHC memory card slot, while the SMX-C20 and HMX-M20 do not feature internal memory and require the use of SD/SDHC media cards.

The Samsung SMX-C20 and SMX-C24 digital camcorders will be available in February 2010. The Samsung HMX-M20 will be available in March 2010.
