Today, Samsung announced the SL605 point-and-shoot durable, compact digital camera.
The SL605 features 12-megapixels, Samsung’s Anti scratch Mask, rubberized bottom and buttons to protect from elements such as dust, dirt or sand, a 2.7-inch TFT-LCD, internal 27mm wide angle, 5x optical zoom lens, standard definition VGA video recording, Smart Auto scene recognition technology, and Smart Night Mode for properly exposed images when shooting at night.
The Samsung SL605 will be available Spring 2010 for $129.99.

I just bought this camera at Best Buy and it is so awesome!! Great features and really easy to use. Plus, awesome picture quality! Great buy in an overwhelming world of point and shoot digital cameras.

I have never owned a Samsung camera but my husband and I are fans of Samsung products. We already own a Samsung LCD TV, Blue Ray Player and surround sound system so we are aware of the excellent quality in the Samsung line of electronics. When my 7MP Kodak finally died I had researched several cameras before actually going out to buy one. We went to the store set on buying a Canon because my husband (a photographer) has an SLR by Canon. We found this Samsung and not only do the features match (if not outshine) the $200 Canon but this camera is a downright steal at $130! We bought it thinking we would try it out and return it within the 30 days if we don’t like it. I will NOT be returning it. The pictures are crisp even in the lower MP range and the smart auto mode is pure genius. I love it and I am so happy that I can use the $100 I saved on something else! I am definitely a believer in Samsung’s products and I have now added digital cameras to my list of Samsung winners!

Great camera for the $, much better than the one I was using which cost 3 times as much.
