New Canon PowerShot A2100 IS, A1100 IS and A480 Digital Cameras

New Canon PowerShot A1100 IS digital cameraFor years, Canon’s A-Series PowerShot digital cameras have been among the most popular compact cameras with the PhotographyREVIEW.com community. Canon has announced three new A-Series cameras for this year’s PMA tradeshow, the PowerShot A2100 IS, PowerShot A1100 IS and PowerShot A480.

The three new Canon A-Series models follow in the traditional of previous Canon A-Series digital cameras with AA battery power and lots of camera for the money. The 12-megapixel Canon PowerShot A2100 IS has a 6x image-stabilized zoom lens and 3-inch LCD display. The PowerShot A480 has a 10-megapixel sensor, 3.3x optical zoom lens and 2.5-inch LCD. The Canon PowerShot A1100 IS has a 12-megapixel sensor, 4x image-stabilized zoom lens and 2.5-inch LCD. All three camera feature Canon’s new Smart AUTO shooting mode, which evaluates the content of a scene and chooses the best possible settings.

The new Canon PowerShot A2100 IS, PowerShot A1100 IS will be available in March and the PowerShot A480 will be available in April for $249.99, $199.99 and $129.99, respectively.
