Nikon D3100 ReviewThe Nikon D3100 is one of the hottest digital SLRs on the market right now. The great price (under $600 with a lens), plenty of features, excellent image quality and access to Nikon’s excellent lenses make it a no-brainer for first time digital SLR buyers or even serious photographers on a budget. The D3100 has a 14-megapixel sensor, ISO 3200 sensitivity (expandable to ISO 12,800), a 3-inch LCD display, full HD video with continuous auto focus and an 11-point auto focus system. After using it for a couple days and taking some great fall color photos, I’m impressed with the camera’s performance and even more impressed with the image quality. We all want a better camera, but the truth is, most of us want more than we need. If good quality photos are what you’re after, the Nikon D3100 will get the job done for most photographers.
