September 22nd, 2009 by aquadog

SeaLife DC1000 Underwater Digital CameraThe SeaLife DC1000 is an underwater digital camera that is designed to allow for the best possible photographs, both in and out of the water. The camera operates just as effectively top-side as it does under water by easily removing the slim inner camera from its waterproof housing.

The DC1000 features 10 megapixels, 25X Mega Zoom (5X optical zoom plus 5X digital zoom), auto-focus to 2 inches (5 cm), 2.7 inch LCD, and a video mode for high-resolution digital videos with sound. It is waterproof to a depth of 200 feet (60 meters) and weighs less than 17 ounces. The DC1000 also includes an Easy Set-up mode, a graphic on-screen guide, four new specially designed underwater modes (Sea, Snorkel, External Flash Auto, External Flash Manual), 10 land modes (Auto, Sports, panorama, landscape, night scene, fireworks, splash water, flow water, anti-shake, AV aperture priority, TV shutter speed priority), and SPY mode which allows the camera to take continuous pictures at set time intervals. The exterior polycarbonate body is rubber-armored for sure-grip handling and shock-protection in all conditions.

The DC1000 is available for $549.95.

I was actually in search of a good water proof camera. I like the design and features of SeaLife DC1000. 10 mp camera is simply great. Shooting must be comfortable and fun. The design is also decent.
