Today, Panasonic announced their latest High Definition, compact camcorders, the Panasonic HDC-SD10 and HDC-TM10. These two HD camcorders are the “world’s lightest”, weighing in at just 0.5 lbs.

The HDC-SD10 and HDC-TM10 feature 16x optical zoom and can produce 1920 x 1080 Full-HD videos. They also feature a touch screen, Advanced O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer), Face Detection, Intelligent Scene Selector, Pre-Rec function, iA (Intelligent Auto), and AF/AE Tracking (Auto Focus/Auto Exposure Tracking). The HDC-SD10 uses an SDHC/SD Memory Card, while the HDC-TM10 has a Twin Memory Type, which records onto both an 8GB Built-in Memory and an SDHC/SD Memory Card.

The HDC-SD10 and HDC-TM10 will be available in September 2009 for $549.95 and $599.95 respectively.
