Olympus Imaging America of Center Valley, Pennsylvania announced December 9, 2008 that the cameras known as Stylus SW will become known as Stylus Tough.
Spring 2009 will bring expansion and new products to the line that will be referred to as Tough beginning January 2009. The increasing desire among consumers according to Olympus for such products has made this move important for their ability to add new features and durability to the already popular rugged cameras they produce.

The Olympus Stylus Tough is just what it claims. Have used it on many tough climbs! CG
