Nikon Coolpix S640 and S570 Digital CamerasToday, Nikon announced the new Coolpix S640 and Coolpix S570 digital cameras that feature cutting edge technology designed for enhanced shooting and photo-sharing experiences.

The Nikon Coolpix S640 delivers high-performance and enhanced speed. It features an ultra-fast auto-focus, a short shutter release time lag, the fastest start up time in its class of a mere 0.7 seconds, 12.2 megapixels, a 5x Wide Angle Nikkor lens, a 2.7-inch clear color LCD display, Subject Tracking, Scene Auto Selector Mode, and a 4-way VR Image Stabilization System. The slim, stylish all metal body Coolpix S640, comes in various colors including Calm Black, Velour Red, Precious Pink, and Pearl White.

The Nikon Coolpix S570 combines style, simplicity and affordability in a sleek camera body. It features a 5x Zoom-Nikkor lens with 28mm wide-angle coverage, 12.0 megapixels, a 2.7-inch LCD Display, a 4-way VR Image Stabilization System, Scene Auto Selector Mode, five advanced functions, such as Blink Warning and Face-Priority AF, and a new Skin Softening function that automatically detects and analyzes a subject’s skin, and then adjusts smoothness for enhanced results. The Coolpix S570 also comes in various colors including Black, Red, Blue, and Pink.

The Coolpix S640 and Coolpix S570 digital cameras will be available in September 2009 for $249.95 and $199.95, respectively.
