Canon has introduced a new $99 compact SELPHY photo printer. The new Canon SELPHY CP780 printer is faster and the image quality has been improved over previous SELPHY compact photo printers. The CP780 has a 2.5-inch LCD display and will be available in blue, pink and silver. A new Portrait Image Optimize feature uses Face Detection technology to identify and optimize faces and skin tones. There’s an optional battery pack so parents and others who want to share photos anytime and anywhere can do so. The Canon SELPHY CP780 printer also has card slots to support almost every memory type, including CompactFlash, SD, SDHC, MemoryStick Duo and Memory Stick Pro, as well as xD-Picture Card.
