Canon announced its powerful new camcorder line-up for 2009. The line-up includes five VIXIA high definition camcorders and six standard definition camcorders, available in different recording formats, including Flash Memory.

The Canon VIXIA line includes the VIXIA HF S10, VIXIA HF S100, VIXIA HF20, VIXIA HF200 Flash Memory Camcorders and the VIXIA HV40 HDV Camcorder. The new standard line includes the FS22, FS21, FS200 Flash Memory Camcorders, DC420, DC410 DVD Camcorders, and the ZR960 MiniDV Camcorder.

New features include DIGIC DV III image processor, 8.0 Megapixel photo capture, an advanced Auto Exposure system, Genuine Canon Face Detection Technology, and Video Snapshot Mode.
