There are new release candidate software updates available for Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Camera Raw. Lightroom 5.3 RC and Camera Raw 8.3 add RAW support for new cameras as well as new lens correction profiles. Some of the newly-supported cameras are the Sony A7 and A7R; the Olympus E-M1 and Stylus 1; the Nikon 1 AW1, D5300 and D610; the Panasonic GM1; and the Fujifilm X-E2.
Release Candidate software is sort of like beta software. It’s been tested but Adobe wants to get feedback from users before they make it official and push it out as a full update. Besides support for new cameras and lenses, the new Lightroom Release Candidate also fixes some Lightroom 5 bugs, including problems with upgrading and optimizing Lightroom Catalogs, a video playback issue, Slideshow problems, and Publishing errors.
